Saint Francisco Marto

I was born in 1908 in the small Portughese town of Fátima. My family were poor farmers. When I was ten years old, Mother Mary appeared to me, my sister and our cousin Lucia. In total, she appeared six  times to us, always on the 13th of the month, between May and October 1917. Mary told us to pray the Rosary every day and to pray that sinners would change their ways. Some people treated us roughly after our story. They tried to convince us to say that everything was a lie. But gradually more people started to believe us. After the aparitions, I grew closer to Mary and Jesus. I really loved to go to the Church and pray in front of the tabernacle. But my earthly life would not go on for long: I got the Spanish flu and I died young.
