I was born in Cremona, Italy. My father was a merchant and a tailor. I inherited his fortune, so it was easy for me to pursue this calling. I practiced my business in Cremona with honesty and charity. I was married and believed that God made my business successful, so I could support people living in a state of poverty. I frequently received the Eucharist. I died on November 13, 1197 while I was attending Mass.
