Biography

I was born in a small French town in 1873. I was raised in a joyful family with my four sisters. I enjoyed playing with my sisters and cousins. Sadly, my mother (who also became a saint), died when I was only four years old. My oldest sister, Pauline, became a second mother for me, but she entered the convent. At the age of 15, I too became a Carmelite nun. I realised I would not be able to do great deeds, and instead focused on small deeds full of God’s grace. I wrote an autobiography, with great attention for the love for God. I fell ill in 1896, but didn’t tell anyone, and suffered in silence until I had to keep bed. I died one year later. My last words were: "My God…I love you!"
